About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring staff for our Before and After School Program for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a part-time, non-exempt position located at Kendall Elementary School in Kendall, NY. The role involves facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and engaging environment for children aged 5-12, assisting with homework, communicating with parents, and adhering to state and program policies. Certain positions may also include management functions like record-keeping and registration.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework assistance.
• Providing a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Reporting to the program ready to work at designated times and be prepared to stay until the last child leaves the program.
• Communicating daily with parents and family members via the Playground App.
• Observing and following state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing (for certain positions).
