Childcare Staff – Summer Camp
About The Position
Are you energetic, passionate, and ready to make a difference? Healthy Kids Programs is seeking Staff for our Summer Camp to guide campers through a summer filled with fun, friendship, and unforgettable adventures. This is your chance to lead, inspire, and create lifelong memories for children while being part of a supportive, award-winning team. The position is located at Winchester Trail Elementary School in Canal Winchester, OH. This is a part-time, non-exempt role with pay ranging from $14.50 - $16.00 per hour. The summer schedule is Monday–Friday, with shifts between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with potential to continue beyond summer with different hours.
Requirements
- 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
- Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.
Nice To Haves
- Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
Responsibilities
- Support site director with daily camp activities, games, hands-on projects, and special events, including arts & crafts and themed activities
- Create a positive, inclusive environment where campers feel supported, encouraged, and engaged
- Ensure camper safety and follow all state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school policies
- Communicate daily with families using the Playground App and provide support during parent orientations
- Support community outreach to promote the program and engage prospective families
- Lead by example with enthusiasm, positivity, and a can-do attitude
