About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking passionate and energetic individuals to join their team as a part-time Site Supervisor for their Before and After School Program for the 2025-2026 school year. This role is responsible for ensuring program compliance with state regulations and company policies, planning and leading engaging activities, overseeing daily operations, and maintaining communication with parents and staff. The position is located at Van Schaik Grade School in Cohoes, NY.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or its equivalent; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• A School-age Child Care Credential or other Office recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period, and one year of experience working with children less than 13 years of age.
• Associate’s degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field.
• Medical clearance to perform all job duties and are free from communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
• A warm, friendly, and positive attitude, with strong interpersonal skills when working with children, parents, and team members.
• Professional, dependable, and punctual.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the role, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff and program operations consistently meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements.
• Plan and lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.
• Oversee daily operational tasks such as accurate attendance and registration tracking, scheduling, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and caregivers using the Playground App.
• Communicate regularly with your direct report to share updates, address concerns, and support a positive team environment.
