About The Position

The YMCA is looking for dedicated, caring, and creative individuals to join our Childcare team! In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to foster a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and explore their potential. YMCA Child Care Services is seeking a part-time Childcare Site Inclusion Specialist who is energetic and compassionate. The Childcare Site Inclusion Specialist will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of children with additional needs, including emotional, behavioral, and physical.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Experience in the supervision of multiple children, including children with diverse abilities.
• Organized, detail-oriented, yet flexible.
• Comfortable communicating with parents and enjoy working with children.
• Positive, service-oriented attitude serving diverse groups of campers in regard to age, abilities, ethnicity, gender, race, economic status, religion, etc.

Responsibilities

• Have a warm, engaging, and friendly demeanor that is able to connect quickly with program participants and parents.
• Show compassion and understanding of children with special needs.
• Lead fun, enriching activities for school-age children with special needs who are participating in Before Care/ After Care at Holland Elementary.
