About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is looking for an energetic and passionate leader to join our team as a Site Director. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of our before and after school program, as well as the summer camp program, ensuring high-quality care and a positive experience for children, families, and staff. This is a year-round, part-time position (29-30 hours/week) located at Skoi Yase Primary School in Waterloo, NY. The role involves a split shift during the school year, with morning hours from 6:30 AM to 8:45 AM and afternoon hours from 3:10 PM to 6:00 PM. Summer hours will vary based on camp programming. A featured benefit is employer-paid childcare for school-age children enrolled in the program on the days and hours worked.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• Medical clearance to perform all job duties and are free from communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
• A warm, friendly, and positive attitude, with strong interpersonal skills when working with children, parents, and team members.
• Professional, dependable, and punctual.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the role, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff and program operations consistently meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements.
• Plan and lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.
• Oversee daily operational tasks such as accurate attendance and registration tracking, scheduling, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and caregivers using the Playground App.
• Communicate regularly with your direct report to share updates, address concerns, and support a positive team environment. Together, you will ensure high-quality care, strong staff morale, and proactive problem-solving.
