About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a Site Director to oversee our Before and After School Program at Mercer Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves shaping a safe and fun environment where children can grow and thrive, leading engaging activities, and being part of a positive, supportive team. The position is ideal for individuals who love working with children and are looking for a schedule that aligns with the school day, or for education majors seeking hands-on experience. The program operates from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, following the school calendar.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent documentation.
  • TB Skin Test or Health Professional Statement free from TB.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education and Development.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in another field, plus either: 12 hours of child development training or three years of verifiable full-time paid experience working directly with children in a school-based program, an early childhood development program, or a licensed/certified childcare program.
  • Director’s Credential in Early Childhood Development, plus one year of verifiable full-time paid experience working directly with children in a school-based program, Head Start, or a licensed/certified childcare program.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, plus one year of verifiable paid experience working directly with children in a school-based program, Head Start, or a licensed/certified childcare program.
  • High school diploma, plus three years of verifiable full-time paid experience working directly with children in a school-based program, Head Start, or a licensed/certified childcare program.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
  • Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
  • Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
  • Performing management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
