About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is looking for an energetic and passionate leader to join our team as a Site Director. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of our before and after school program, as well as the summer camp program, ensuring high-quality care and a positive experience for children, families, and staff. This is a year-round, part-time position (29-30 hours/week) located at Bemus Point Elementary School in Bemus Point, NY. The role involves a split shift during the school year, with morning hours from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM and afternoon hours from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Summer hours will vary between 7 am and 6 pm based on camp programming. A key benefit is employer-paid childcare for your school-age children.

Requirements

• Candidates may qualify with an Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be medically cleared to perform all essential job functions and free from communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
• Demonstrates a warm, positive, and professional demeanor, with strong communication and relationship-building skills when interacting with children, families, and colleagues.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including bending, reaching, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, as well as actively supervising and engaging with energetic school-age children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff and program operations consistently meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements.
• Plan and lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.
• Oversee daily operational tasks such as accurate attendance and registration tracking, scheduling, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and caregivers using the Playground App.
• Communicate regularly with your direct report to share updates, address concerns, and support a positive team environment. Together, you will ensure high-quality care, strong staff morale, and proactive problem-solving.
