About The Position

AlphaBEST Education is seeking a Group Leader for their before and after-school programs for the 2026/2027 school year. This part-time role is designed for individuals who enjoy working with children in a structured, high-energy environment and prioritize child safety. AlphaBEST offers extended day, summer, and enrichment programs aimed at inspiring and engaging students beyond the regular school day. The Group Leader position provides an opportunity to shape meaningful moments that contribute to children's learning, growth, and development.

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or GED
Preferably 18+ years old
240+ documented hours of experience working with children is preferred
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required by OR childcare licensing regulations
Proof of experience as required by OR childcare licensing regulations

Nice To Haves

Experience in teaching or classroom leadership
Experience in youth programs
Experience in staff supervision or team leadership

Responsibilities

Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)
Make child safety the top priority at all times
Keep the space clean and organized
Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff
