About The Position

Small Miracles Academy is seeking an energetic Daycare Teacher to join their team. The quality of their care has resulted in being Texas Rising Star Certified. The teacher will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. This position is available in their Pre-K classroom. Their operation hours are 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and they are closed on holidays. The schedule for this role is 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Small Miracles Academy Daycare and Preschool aims to provide an exceptional educational program and offers the HighScope Preschool curriculum, which focuses on building independence, creativity, problem-solving, and academic skills. In a HighScope preschool program, teachers ignite children’s interest in learning by creating an environment that encourages them to explore learning materials and interact with adults and peers. They focus on supporting early learners as they make decisions, build academic skills, develop socially and emotionally, and become part of a classroom community. Active learning is at the center of the HighScope Curriculum, serving as the foundation for young children gaining knowledge through their natural play and interactions with the environment, events, and other people.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of child development
• Patient, kind, and nurturing
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience not required but preferred
• Experience with children desired but not required

Responsibilities

• Execute learning and activities that are developmentally appropriate
• Execute a daily and weekly lesson plan (as applicable)
• Provide basic care and caregiving activities
• Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones
• Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities
