About The Position

Make a Difference Before and After the School Bell Rings! Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Childcare Lead Teacher for our Before and After School Program at Mary Raber Montessori School in Columbia City, IN for the 2026–2027 school year. If you love working with children, leading engaging activities, and being part of a positive, supportive team, you’ll help shape a safe and fun environment where kids can grow and thrive.

Requirements

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or GED.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or relevant college coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) required.
• Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
• Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat.
• Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
