About The Position

We are an equal opportunity employer and a Drug Free Workplace. This is a part-time position for a Childcare Center Classroom Floater in North Dade. The working hours are Monday through Friday, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The role involves planning and implementing daily learning activities, nurturing children, managing the classroom and its equipment, establishing supportive relationships with children and parents, and implementing developmentally appropriate routines and curriculum for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• CDA Infant/Toddler or FCCPC Birth to Five (Option 1)
• DCF 45 Childcare hours, Part 1 & 2 completed (Option 2, with 18-month contingency to complete CDA courses)
• Red Cross First Aid & CPR certificate
• Certificate of good health
• Completed TB test
• Fingerprints for level 2 criminal background check
• Mandatory drug test

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate, nurturing care for children in a center-based setting
• Coordinate use of community resources to enrich the learning environment
• Support program philosophy that parents are the primary educators and nurturers of their children
• Enhance the relationship of parents and their children by encouraging parent participation
• Oversee and assist with classroom cleanup and follow universal precautions daily
• Assist children in transitioning beginning and end of each day and during field trips
• Maintain program standards regarding confidentiality and professional boundaries
