Childcare Floater GSRP Teacher
About The Position
We are seeking a GSRP Floater Teacher to support our Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) program. This state-funded program supports preschool-age children. The role involves working as a team member to provide a quality educational preschool program, assisting in planning, implementing, and monitoring curriculum and assessment, and supporting children's emotional and social development. The position also requires assisting with parent involvement activities, home visits, and working collaboratively with the classroom teacher. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, love working with children, and desire to work in a fun and professional environment.
Requirements
- Associate degree in early childhood education or child development or the equivalent; or a valid classroom CDA credential.

Responsibilities
- Work as a team member in providing a quality educational preschool program.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring curriculum and assessment.
- Assist in establishing parent involvement activities.
- Assist with home visits.
- Work with individual and small groups of students.
- Support children’s emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
- Assist children with personal health care needs.
- Work collaboratively and communicate with the classroom teacher to implement lesson plans, activities, and classroom tasks.
- Assist teacher with monitoring behavior and supporting the educational process in the classroom.
- Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, and/or playground.
- Participate in trainings and on-going professional development.
- Able to work flexible hours as needed for family involvement activities, including home visits, recruitment events, open house.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
