About The Position
The Nest in Branford, Connecticut is seeking a prep cook for its progressive food program. We serve children (infants through kindergarten) mostly organic, local and whole food daily, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of prior kitchen experience
- Energetic demeanor, team player
- Strong work ethic and integrity
- Strong knife skills
- Basic baking experience
Nice To Haves
- Serve safe certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Work alongside our Chef
- Daily prep of snacks and lunches for 3 schools
- Communicate clearly, professionally and effectively
- Promote and contribute to a positive team environment
