About The Position

We are seeking a Childcare Cook to join our New Horizon Academy team at our beautiful Elkhorn school! This role involves working in a child-centered environment and requires comfort with food allergies/restrictions. The ideal candidate will have a positive work ethic, a team-centered attitude, and a willingness to learn.

Requirements

• Must be able to work full-time, Monday-Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
• Must possess a positive work ethic and a team-centered attitude.
• Must be comfortable working with food allergies/restrictions.
• Must enjoy working in a child-centered environment.
• Must be willing to learn.
• Must meet or exceed state qualifications for the position.
• Must meet position qualification requirements as outlined by the state department guidelines.
• Must meet the Applicant Background Study required by state regulations.
• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must have the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff.
• Must be able to understand state licensing regulations and company policies.

Nice To Haves

• Previous kitchen experience preferred.
• Previous experience in Early Childhood Education or related field of work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for children in a childcare setting.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Manage food allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with childcare staff to ensure nutritional needs are met.
