About The Position
The Learning Experience - Foxboro is seeking a dependable Childcare Center Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for our children. This role is crucial in supporting children's health and well-being while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen. The position offers a predictable weekday schedule, Monday-Friday.
Requirements
- ServSafe certification required
- Knowledge of sanitation, food storage, and allergy safety
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Previous professional cooking or food preparation experience preferred
- Experience in childcare, school, or group meal preparation is a plus
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to established menus
- Follow appropriate portion sizes and meal schedules
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen
- Properly store, label, rotate, and monitor food supplies
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Accommodate documented food allergies and dietary restrictions
- Distribute meals and snacks to classrooms
- Monitor inventory and communicate ordering needs
- Maintain required food service documentation
- Follow applicable Massachusetts food safety and childcare requirements
