About The Position

Magic Memories is seeking a reliable and patient Bus Driver to safely transport children to and from school. This role involves ensuring the welfare, health, and safety of the children during transport, obeying all traffic regulations, and being familiar with the planned route. The driver must maintain the vehicle in compliance with all state regulations and have a safe driving record for the past 5 years. In addition to driving, there is an option to work additional hours in classrooms as a teacher's assistant or in the kitchen as a cook. The position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with no nights or weekends.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED min, required
• 2 years working with children min, required
• Valid CDL, School & Passenger endorsement, required
• Knowledge of physical, emotional, and developmental patterns in children
• Sensitivity to individual and group needs of children
• Evidence of a safe driving record for the previous 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Transporting children to and from designated locations.
• Ensuring the welfare, health, and safety of the children during transport.
• Obeying all traffic regulations.
• Being familiar with the planned route ahead of time.
• Maintaining the vehicle in compliance with all state regulatory agencies' rules and regulations.
• Providing support across various classrooms, assisting with daily activities and ensuring the smooth operation of the center.
• Collaborating with teachers and staff to meet the individual and group needs of children.
• Monitoring the physical, emotional, and developmental patterns in children and providing appropriate support and care.
