About The Position

Inspire Early Education is seeking a dynamic and responsible individual to join their Childcare Center team as a part-time Childcare Bus Driver. This role requires ensuring the safe transportation of children to and from the childcare center. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be committed to creating a nurturing environment for children.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement
Clean driving record with no history of accidents or traffic violations
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A positive attitude and passion for working with children
Ability to pass background and health requirements

Responsibilities

Safely operate the childcare center's bus or vehicle to transport children to and from the center, ensuring the well-being of each child during transit.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Strictly adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including ensuring that children are secured in appropriate child safety seats and seat belts.
Be prepared to respond to emergencies during transit, including administering first aid if necessary, and evacuate children safely in case of accidents.
Maintain open and clear communication with parents or guardians regarding pick-up and drop-off times, and any changes or delays in the schedule.
Maintain accurate records of daily transportation, including attendance, mileage, and fuel usage.
