Childcare Associate Teacher
About The Position
Bright Horizons is hiring a Childcare Associate Teacher for a full-time position in the Two's classroom at its Bright Horizons–Bright Beginnings location in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves supporting early education and providing supervision, care, and curriculum delivery in an in-person child care center, following Bright Horizons policies and applicable laws and regulations to ensure children's safety. Working hours are 9 a.m.–6 p.m. The employee will assist with hands-on activities tailored to children's needs and interests, communicate daily milestones to parents, maintain a safe and clean classroom, and fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities. Bright Horizons offers opportunities to pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost through its Horizons CDA & Degree Program.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
- Pass required state and company background checks.
- Meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
- Comply with applicable immunization, employment physical or screening, and health and safety training requirements.
- Be able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting and carrying children and responding promptly to emergencies.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings.
- A CDA, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in early education or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Assist with hands-on activities that meet the needs and interests of children.
- Maintain open communication with parents and share their child's daily milestones.
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
- Fulfill mandated reporter requirements, including reporting suspected child abuse or neglect to the appropriate state agency and informing the director.
- Provide supervision, care, and curriculum delivery in accordance with Bright Horizons policies, procedures, guidance, and applicable laws and regulations.
