About The Position

The Growing Years of Greensboro is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support infants or preschool-age children. The Assistant Teacher supports the lead teacher and helps provide a safe, clean, positive classroom environment that supports each child’s emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development. The role also involves building professional relationships with families and responding constructively to direction and feedback. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Compensation is $14–$16 per hour, based on education and experience. Requirements

High school diploma.
Completion of early childhood education credentials, EDU 119, or some early childhood education coursework, or some experience working in the early childhood education field.
Ability to pass all background checks.
Ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and fulfill the physical requirements of the role.
