About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is looking for someone energetic and passionate about working with kids to join the team as Before and After Care Assistant Teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a pay rate of $14.50 per hour. The schedule involves a split shift, with the morning program running from 6:45 AM to 7:45 AM and the afternoon program from 2:45 PM to 6:00 PM. A featured benefit is employer-paid childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in the program on the days and during the hours you work. This allows employees to focus on their job while their child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program without needing to arrange outside care. The Before and After School Program team is responsible for facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, as well as providing homework assistance. They must also provide a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment, acting as a positive role model for children. Reporting to the program ready to work at designated times and being prepared to stay until the last child leaves the program is essential. Daily communication with parents and family members via the Playground App is required, along with observing and following state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies. Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Requirements

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
• Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat.
• Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
