About The Position
Chambliss Center for Children is seeking Teacher Assistants to join their team on a part-time and as-needed basis. They provide 24/7/365 care for children up to age 12. This role involves overnight shifts during the week and occasional weekend days. The position plays an important role in ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for the children in their care. This is a flexible schedule opportunity for those passionate about making a difference.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a fingerprint background screening.
- Childcare experience required.
- Passion for working with children and families.
Nice To Haves
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential
- Associate's Degree
Responsibilities
- Oversees the care of children when on duty, overnight or weekends.
- Supervises assigned group of children indoors and outdoors.
- Maintains an orderly classroom.
- Maintains a positive and cooperative relationship with all staff, parents, and volunteers of the agency.
- Performs other duties assigned by the Lead Teacher and the Executive Director or Associate Directors of Extend Child Care.
