About The Position

This role is responsible for the care and supervision of children in the childcare center. The position involves assisting in activities, serving lunch, changing diapers, leading outdoor play, and cleaning the center. A Central Background Registry (CBR) Number is required, or the ability to obtain one. The process for obtaining a CBR number can be lengthy and should be started immediately upon application if not already active.

Requirements

Must have a Central Background Registry (CBR) Number or the ability to obtain one.
First Aid and Child CPR certification (online training is not acceptable).
Must complete a minimum of two hours of training regarding child abuse and neglect, OCC-approved health and safety training, and safe sleep training within 30 days of employment.
A background check will be conducted before employment.
Minimum Age Requirement: 15+

Nice To Haves

Background in Child Development and Education is a plus.

Responsibilities

Care and supervision of children in the childcare center.
Assisting in activities.

Changing diapers in the infant and toddler rooms.
Leading outdoor play activities.
Cleaning the center before, during, and at the end of the day.
Performing any additional duties normally expected in a childcare setting.
