Responsibilities

Ensuring the safety and security of each child under your care, including implementing and adhering to YMCA safety procedures, as well as state and local codes.
Engaging in purposeful programming designed to meet the developmental needs of each child.
Implementing age-appropriate curricula that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with all the children in your care by creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
Providing ongoing positive dialogue and support to YMCA families to build strong connections between families and our childcare program.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for children.
Implementing the YMCA Social and Emotional Curriculum, Conscious Discipline, in daily interactions with children.
Completing opening and closing procedures as required.
Accurately documenting any incidents or accidents that occur during your shift.
Following all childcare policies and procedures with diligence and attention to detail.
