About The Position

iKids U is seeking Experienced Childcare Staff to train as iKids U Instructors. This role involves leading group activities and maintaining a fun environment at Austin elementary schools. The program, Stay, Play, & Learn, features weekly themes with diverse craft-based and recreational activities, including Cooking, Art, Chess, Science, Drama, and Robotics. iKids U provides an organized teaching environment for instructors looking to develop leadership and communication skills with elementary-age students. All lesson plans and supplies are provided by the campus supervisor.

Requirements

Experience with children (like camps, coaching, teaching, tutoring, workshops, child care, child development, teacher assistance, special education, child therapy, instructional assistance, substitute teaching, or baby-sitting/childcare)
Maintain a consistent, weekly teaching schedule, 2-4 days/week
Independent transportation and currently residing in Austin metroplex
Required High School Diploma or equivalent (18 yrs old minimum)
Clear background and fingerprinting results

Responsibilities

Implement iKids lesson plans & engage kids in various enrichment courses
Monitor and maintain child safety on playground, during activities and snack breaks
Provide homework assistance and actively engage with students
Maintain classroom management
Assist in organizing materials and a child-friendly space
Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and parents
Support iKids mission to provide high quality enrichment, tutoring, and care
