About The Position

The Child & Youth Development Specialist works at Auberle’s Family Healing Center, an innovative licensed inpatient 3.5 drug and alcohol facility focused on addiction treatment and family healing. The center uses evidence-based therapies, trauma-informed care, and family support to address underlying causes of addiction, support emotional and behavioral well-being, and promote long-term recovery and family resilience. This position provides supervision and guidance to child and youth development staff and helps maintain a safe, structured, developmentally appropriate environment. It oversees daily activities and routines, supports children’s social and emotional needs, and collaborates with parents, clinicians, and program leadership. The role is primarily based in Mt. Oliver, Pennsylvania, with regular travel and attendance at scheduled trainings, meetings, and events at Auberle’s Main Campus in McKeesport.

Requirements

Act 33/34 and FBI clearances are required.
Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, vehicle, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance are required.
Regular travel is required, including attendance at scheduled trainings, meetings, and events at the Main Campus in McKeesport.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision and guidance to child and youth development staff to ensure a safe, structured, and developmentally appropriate environment.
Oversee the planning and implementation of daily activities that support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs.
Ensure consistent routines, supervision standards, and child safety practices are followed at all times.
Collaborate with parents, clinicians, and program leadership to support healthy family functioning and child well-being.
Maintain documentation, communication, and program standards related to child and youth services.
