About The Position

As the largest provider of Child Care in Manitoba, spanning approximately 38 centres, Y Winnipeg offers a diverse portfolio of high-quality care for infants, toddlers, preschool, kindergarten, and school-aged children. The organization is expanding and adding a new, broader leadership team member to strengthen its impact, with a primary focus on curriculum leadership and quality enhancement across its programs. Requirements

  • ECE III certification
  • 5 years experience in Child Care management or 7 years related experience in a similar field
  • Advanced knowledge of early childhood education frameworks and curriculum design; including play-based learning, inclusion, and culturally responsive programming, with the ability to apply research-based practices to enhance learning outcomes
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to mentor directors, supervisors, and educators to build capacity, drive program quality, and support continuous professional development
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and enhance program quality using data, observations, and feedback to identify gaps, implement improvement plans, and ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Expertise in developing and standardizing curriculum across multiple sites while maintaining flexibility to meet diverse community and centre-specific needs
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to strengthen programming and innovation
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and Truth & Reconciliation, with the ability to integrate inclusive practices, Indigenous perspectives, and diverse learning approaches into curriculum development and program delivery
