This is an internship position for Child Welfare MSW/BSW students seeking a Fall/Spring placement. The internship requires 15-20 hours per week and includes mandatory training in the summer (one day each in June, July, and August). Interns will participate in group supervision, bi-weekly team meetings, and agency trainings. The role involves working one evening per week and may require the use of a personal car, necessitating proof of current car insurance. After training, interns will supervise and intervene in parent/child visits and conduct in-home family visits. Successful completion of a criminal and CANTS (DCFS) background check is required.
