The DHS’ Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) Child Welfare, is seeking candidates to fill the position of Child Welfare Services Technician 1, reporting to a Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor. This position is in Danielsville, Madison County.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience in a social services-related position.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in a child welfare related field.
Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel experience.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for work-related travel.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with community partners and stakeholders to obtain necessary documents for case files.
Perform DNA collections to establish paternity of children involved with the agency.
Assists with coordinating the needs of children in foster care.
Manage and organize case files.
Provide supervision for children in care as needed.
Participate in agency meetings and trainings.
Assists with special events such as Secret Santa.
Utilize private vehicle for work-related travel and duties (including transportation of children).

Provide administrative support to social services case managers.
