About The Position

This position is located in Madill, Tishomingo, or Ardmore, Oklahoma. The role provides lower-level case management assistance and support for Child Welfare Specialists (CWS), clients, client families, and other interested parties. It involves performing administrative support tasks and other related duties such as general office duties, inputting case documentation, compiling social and economic data, and scheduling and assisting in meetings with clients, parents, and other interested parties. The position also schedules required appointments for doctor visits, family visitations, and court appearances, and arranges or provides transportation for children and clients. Additionally, the role involves interviewing clients and their families, reporting findings to assigned CWS, and advising clients of available child welfare services and resources, providing specific program information, and referring to community resources for assistance. Travel is extensive, and the candidate must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.

Requirements

  • Level I: Six months of experience in general office clerical work, providing care for children in a licensed day care facility, sales, or public contact work.
  • Level I: Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one of the following for the required experience: (a) six months of technical or vocational training course work; or (b) the completion of 15 semester hours from a college or university.
  • Level II: One year of clerical experience in a governmental or non-profit social services provider environment.
  • Level II: Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting thirty semester hours of college for the required experience.
  • Level III: One year of clerical experience in a governmental or non-profit social services provider environment plus two additional years of clerical experience in a child welfare environment.
  • Level III: Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting thirty semester hours of college for the required experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must maintain required car insurance.
