About The Position

COME AND JOIN OUR AMAZING TEAM AT THE SAUGUS YMCA! The Child Watch Staff will be responsible for working in the Child Watch room during hours of operation. Everyday duties could include planning crafts for older children, playing pretend with younger children, coloring, reading, etc. The role also involves providing communication with parents/guardians about pertinent child watch room information, and maintaining awareness and adherence to all program policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook. Additionally, the staff member will maintain the program room and equipment, manage a clean room and toys on a weekly basis, and attend and participate in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff trainings at the Saugus Y facility.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 3 months of hire. (Training provided if needed)
Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date. (Training provided)

Nice To Haves

Childcare or Babysitting experience is preferred.
