This career opportunity is with the Utah Office of Recovery Services (ORS) and focuses on promoting responsibility by providing child support services and support for children in care to help ensure parents are financially responsible for their children. The role also assists in ensuring public funds are used appropriately through the efforts of the Bureau of Medical Collections. The position offers a positive work-life balance with a Monday through Friday (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) work schedule and excellent benefits. The job involves receiving extensive training to learn the process of legally establishing paternity and child support orders, and/or enforcing orders by collecting child support and enforcing other provisions within the order. Responsibilities include verifying and/or correcting balances owed, determining appropriate legal action such as garnishment or liens, preparing documentation for court hearings, conducting research to gather evidence, analyzing facts, and applying agency rules, regulations, and policies.
