The Child Support Attorney advises and represents the Child Support Agency in child support and paternity cases. This role involves appearing in court on behalf of the State of Wisconsin for various hearings, drafting legal documents, and enforcing, establishing, and revising support orders. The attorney will also provide guidance to child support staff, consult with the Child Support Director on legal matters, conduct training, and review legal documents prepared by staff. Additionally, this position prepares referral documents for criminal non-support cases, provides information to parents, consults with other legal professionals, and stays current with relevant laws and regulations. Other duties as assigned.
