About The Position

The University of Maryland School of Medicine, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is seeking a full-time child and adolescent psychologist researcher to work with the National Center School Mental Health. Preference will be given to candidates with specialization and expertise in school mental health services, assessment, and policy. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to engage in research to strengthen policies and programs in school mental health to improve learning and promote success for America’s youth. The faculty will be expected to work on projects that aim to implement and scale school and community-based mental health programs to improve the quality of life of children and adolescents with complex health care needs. This work will facilitate the advancement of mental health prevention and intervention programs for student populations in school and community settings, specifically students with developmental and physical disabilities, chronic illness, complex health needs and other students. The positions carry faculty appointments at the University and offer exciting opportunities for clinical care, teaching and research. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience. Expected rank is Assistant Professor or higher, however, rank and tenure status is dependent on candidate’s qualifications.
