About The Position

Optum WA, formerly The Everett Clinic, is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Everett, WA. Optum is a clinician-led care organization focused on improving how clinicians work and live. They are expanding beyond basic health programs to offer integrated care across the entire continuum. The Psychiatry team consists of experienced physicians and advanced nurse practitioners trained in Adult and Child Adolescent Psychiatry, offering various practice modalities such as collaborative care, psychotherapy, groups, and medication management support.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted License to practice in Washington State by start date
  • Unrestricted DEA by start date
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)

Nice To Haves

  • Inpatient or outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry experience
  • Comfort with electronic health records

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric care to children and adolescents.
  • Utilize collaborative care models embedded in primary care.
  • Conduct individual therapy, including Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, CBTi, and trauma-informed therapies like Cognitive Processing Therapy and EMDR.
  • Lead and facilitate groups such as Anxiety, Bipolar, and Geropsychology.
  • Manage patient medications.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, advanced nurse practitioners, a dedicated practice manager, and case managers.
  • Participate in regular consultative time with colleagues.
  • Engage in a robust onboarding program and be assigned a dedicated mentor as a new provider.
