About The Position

ERCCA Northalta is hiring a Child Placement Liaison for a one-year term contract, with the possibility of extension or continuation in another role within the association. The target start date is September 2026 for training and shadowing, but this is flexible based on the candidate's availability. This role reports to the Executive Director/Senior Director. The Child Placement Liaison is responsible for managing child registration and placement with families, maintaining accurate child records, coordinating enrollment information, and ensuring families adhere to agency policies. The position also supports agency growth through social media and marketing initiatives, fostering positive relationships with families and educators, and contributing to professional development.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent.
  • Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification issued by the province of Alberta.
  • Current, valid CPR and Standard First Aid certification.
  • Child Intervention Record Check issued within the last 6 months.
  • Police information check including vulnerable sector check issued within the last 6 months.
  • Proficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Canva, Adobe Acrobat, and Photoshop.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Kids Included ASaP Program.
  • Knowledge of Government of Alberta Family Day Home Portal.
  • Experience with Kinderlogix childcare management software.
  • Experience with Lillio childcare management software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the childcare placement and registration process, including responding to applications, communicating with families, and entering information into Kinderlogix.
  • Provide families with information regarding ERCCA Northalta policies, procedures, and parent responsibilities.
  • Maintain children's files with up-to-date required information.
  • Track and update Day Home data, including available spaces and child referral tracking.
  • Create and post content on ERCCA Northalta's social media platforms.
  • Support marketing efforts by collecting photos and creating marketing materials for the agency and day homes.
  • Assist day home educators with their individual marketing efforts, ensuring compliance with agency guidelines.
  • Build positive relationships with the ERCCA Northalta team, educators, families, and the community.
  • Act as a positive role model, using good judgment, discretion, and professionalism in sharing information.
  • Identify critical issues and bring them to the attention of the Director.
  • Prepare reports on childcare trends, issues, and activities.
  • Make recommendations to the Director(s) for process and document updates.
  • Participate in and/or lead agency-led professional development for educators.
