About The Position

The Child Life Specialist will collaborate with the health care team to provide social, emotional, and developmental support during a pediatric patient's illness and hospitalization. This role will supply a caring and secure atmosphere for patients and their families in pediatrics. The specialist will also collaborate with the health care team to plan appropriate interventions and develop and/or participate in outreach and educational activities to teach families, staff, and the community about issues and services related to ill and hospitalized children. Maintaining proper education to continue with professional development is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

• Child Life Professional obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities
