About The Position

Assists in implementing child life services by planning, organizing, and facilitating playroom and bedside activities for pediatric patients and their families. Maintains a safe and organized environment, orients and supervises volunteers, and assists with special events, in-kind donations, and community visitors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and core college coursework in child development, early childhood/elementary education, or a related field.
  • One year (full-time equivalent) childcare or teaching experience with children in a group setting.
  • Child development knowledge and skills (infants through adolescents).
  • Group supervision skills.
  • Play and recreational activity planning and facilitation skills.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Paid or volunteer experience with children in a healthcare setting preferred.
