About The Position

Butterfly Effects is hiring a Child Interventionist to work directly with children affected by autism, helping them develop communication, social interaction, self-care, academic, and other life skills. The role implements individualized, ABA-based behavior intervention plans in collaboration with families and under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This is a part-time position available 3–5 days per week, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for 15–30 hours per week. The listed hourly pay is $16–$18, depending on experience, education, and certifications. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered after 200 billing hours with clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Genuine love of working with children.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Observe, record, and report daily on client progress, condition, and behavior.
• Manage challenging behaviors and consistently apply behavioral principles in interactions with clients.
• Assist clients as needed in acquiring academic and appropriate life skills.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, behavior analysts and consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Participate as an active member of the treatment team.
• Complete daily paperwork and detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely data-collection notes in the online database.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to develop skills.
• Maintain the confidentiality of client information.
• Follow Butterfly Effects policies and procedures.
• Perform related special projects and other duties assigned by management.
