About The Position

Butterfly Effects is seeking dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians to work directly with children with autism, helping them develop communication, social interaction, self-care, academic, and other appropriate life skills. The role collaborates with families and the treatment team to implement individualized, ABA-based behavior intervention plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The position starts part-time, with an opportunity to transition to full-time. Full-time hours are 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Part-time hours are at least 15 hours per week, 3–5 weekdays, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. The stated hourly pay range is $16–$18, based on experience, education, and certifications. RBTs may receive a $500 sign-on bonus after billing at least 200 client hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Genuine love for working with children.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential; the $500 sign-on bonus is for RBTs only.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Observe, record, and report client progress and the client's condition and behavior daily.
• Manage challenging behaviors.
• Apply behavioral principles consistently in interactions with clients.
• Assist clients, as needed, in acquiring academic and appropriate life skills.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, behavior analysts and consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Function as an active member of the treatment team.
• Complete detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely paperwork and data-collection notes through the online database.
• Participate in continuous training programs designed to increase skills.
• Maintain the confidentiality of client information.
• Follow Butterfly Effects policies and procedures.
• Assist with related special projects and perform other related duties as assigned by management.
