About The Position
Butterfly Effects' Mission is to make a socially significant change in the lives of children and families by hiring passionate, caring people to serve children and families affected by autism. We are seeking dedicated Child Interventionists/Behavior Technicians/Registered Behavior Technicians, entry level and experienced, to directly assist children with autism in honing vital skills like communication, social interaction, and self-care. Join us in collaborating with families to execute ABA-based behavior intervention plans. This is a fulfilling part-time role at Butterfly Effects, offering 9-15 hours per week, typically after school hours between 3pm-7pm, 3 to 5 days per week. We offer competitive compensation between $21.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience, education, and certifications. We also provide educational and training support with opportunities to become a Registered Behavior Technician or grow towards gaining a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), aided by our guidance and financial assistance. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A genuine love for working with children.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
- Prior experience with children is advantageous.
- Interest in ongoing development.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to satisfactorily pass a company background check.
Nice To Haves
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
- Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
- Manages challenging behaviors.
- Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
- Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
- Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
- Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
- Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
- Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
- Maintains confidentiality of client information.
- Follows BE policies and procedures.
