About The Position

Butterfly Effects is seeking dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians to directly assist children with autism in honing vital skills like communication, social interaction, and self-care. This role involves collaborating with families to execute ABA-based behavior intervention plans. The position offers a fulfilling part-time role with competitive compensation, part-time availability (3-5 days/week, 8 AM-4 PM, 20-30 hours per week), and the opportunity to make a significant positive impact on the lives of children and families. The company provides educational and training support for career growth, including opportunities to become a Registered Behavior Technician or progress towards a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with guidance and financial assistance. The work environment is supportive, focused on bringing calm, protection, and joy to families affected by autism.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained.
A genuine love for working with children.
Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
Prior experience with children is advantageous.
Interest in ongoing development.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
Manages challenging behaviors.
Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
Maintains confidentiality of client information.
Follows Butterfly Effects policies and procedures.
