Child Interventionist/Behavior Technician - Part Time
About The Position
Butterfly Effects is seeking dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians to directly assist children with autism in honing vital skills like communication, social interaction, and self-care. This role involves collaborating with families to execute ABA-based behavior intervention plans. The position is part-time, offering 9-15 hours per week, with a competitive hourly rate of $21.00-$28.00, based on experience, education, and certifications. The work schedule is Monday - Friday from 3-7 pm. Butterfly Effects aims to make a socially significant change in the lives of children and families affected by autism.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained.
- A genuine love for working with children.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
- Interest in ongoing development.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with children is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
- Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
- Manages challenging behaviors.
- Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
- Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
- Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
- Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
- Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
- Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
- Maintains confidentiality of client information.
- Follows BE policies and procedures.
