About The Position

This position is in Mountain View, AR. Kids First is a compassionate, child-centered program dedicated to serving children with special healthcare needs from six weeks to five years old. Within our pediatric day healthcare clinics, children with developmental delays and other special medical needs receive intensive, nurturing, and individualized early developmental services—setting the foundation for lifelong growth and success. In this hands-on and rewarding role, the Child Development Technician partners closely with the Early Childhood Development Specialist to provide daily care, support, and developmental interventions for children from birth to age five with special medical and developmental needs. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about early childhood development, caring, patient, and energetic, and motivated to positively impact children and families. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • six (6) months experience working in the care of children
  • Candidate must pass state abuse registry checks, drug screen, submit to a TB skin test and required immunizations or provide proof of immunizations.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to identify educational and developmental needs of children
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, staff, and other child care professionals
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of early childhood curriculum
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • CCOT, CDA, AA, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related filed.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality direct patient care for a group of young children including serving mealtimes, assisting with feeding, diapering, and dressing.
  • Provides developmentally appropriate behavioral guidance within daily scheduled activities.
  • Follows the direction of the ECDS to provide individualized developmental services of their assigned treatment rooms in a manner that is child-centered, family focused, and demonstrates evidence-based or best practice.
  • Establishes exciting learning environments for young children and apply curriculum to address the objectives contained in each child’s treatment plan.
