About The Position

Systematically evaluates the strengths, needs, preferences, and challenges of infants and children, in collaboration with the family, as part of a NJ Early Intervention Team. Collaborates with family and other Individual Family Service Plan Team Members to develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) which incorporates family priorities/concerns, clinical observation, and evaluation/assessment data to develop child and family outcomes. Implements evidenced-based instructional practices in the child s natural environment. Provides education, resources, and coaching to clients, family, caregivers, and health care professionals to promote and maintain health and well-being.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in a related health, human service, or education field.
  • At least one year of documented professional experience with individuals from birth to five years of age who have developmental delays and disabilities; OR at least six (6) credits in infant and toddler or early childhood development.
  • Knowledge of family centered practices.
  • Knowledge of typical and atypical child growth and development.
  • Functional computer skills.
  • Valid Driver’s license, proof of insurance and a reliable means of transportation as described in Fleet Safety ADM.291 IHN policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification and/or licensure by the appropriate regulatory agency preferred.
