Waverly is seeking an energetic and engaged Child Development Specialist (RBT) to work with preschool-aged children with autism in our clinic and in community preschools throughout Greenwich and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate with a background in psychology, education, child development, or a related field who is interested in gaining meaningful, hands-on experience with young children and exploring graduate school or a career in a therapeutic profession. Child Development Specialists provide individualized support to help children communicate, participate, learn, build relationships, and become more independent. The work is active and play-based—you might build a block tower, join a pretend-play game, explore the playground, teach communication or cognitive skills, support participation in a classroom activity, or help a child develop a new skill. At Waverly, you'll collaborate with and learn from experienced clinicians, including psychologists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, educators, and behavior analysts.
