The Child Development Leader implements the child care program and assumes the director's responsibilities in their absence. This role develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele. The position requires adherence to Rules Regulating Child Care Centers and the ECS Procedures Manual, assisting the director with program management, operations, planning, equipment, supplies, safety, and staff supervision. The leader will use effective discipline and management techniques, maintain a safe and clean environment, plan and implement daily activities, and demonstrate excellent communication with parents, children, school and district staff, and coworkers. The role also involves following district policies and goals and using district facilities with care. Other duties as assigned may also be part of the role.
