Under supervision, provide for the care, development, and instruction of preschool children and infants years in a child development program. This role involves planning and coordinating activities, developing a safe environment, and directing the activities of Associate Teachers and CDC Assistants, students, and volunteers. The Teacher will supervise and interact with children positively, prepare age-appropriate lesson plans, conduct demonstrations, and serve as a primary caregiver. Responsibilities also include conducting parent conferences, developing conflict management strategies, following center policies, and providing information on health and safety. The role requires overseeing children in various activities, setting up playground equipment, ensuring safe play, supervising restroom use, changing clothes, assisting with toilet training, preparing and serving snacks and meals, administering basic First Aid, and performing light housekeeping duties. Additionally, the Teacher will operate classroom equipment, maintain the classroom, identify special needs of children and families, involve families in activities, develop parent programs, maintain records, and oversee laboratory students.
