About The Position
The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Child Development Center Assistant. This opportunity is open to all interested candidates. This list will be good for one month with the possibility to be extended. Requirements
- High School diploma/GED and a passing score on the San Diego Unified School District Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam (CAPE) or an Associate’s degree (or higher) or 48 or more eligible units of coursework at a recognized college or university.
- Personal appearance and language patterns will provide a satisfactory example to pupils.

Nice To Haves
- Completion of post high school courses in Psychology, Early Childhood Development, Elementary Education, Special Education, or related field is desirable.
- Some positions may require conversational and/or written skills in a specific foreign language related to the needs of the assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to the instructional program in classrooms, resource centers, halls, and playgrounds at a Children's Center, Child Development Center, or State Preschool.
