About The Position
The Child Counselor is primarily responsible for addressing the emotional and mental needs of Casa de Misericordia children and adolescent clients.
Requirements
- Arkansas: Master's degree in counseling, psychology or related field.
- Texas: Enrolled in master's degree in counseling, psychology, or related field with timeline to receive of 2 years.
- Arkansas: Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC or Provisionally Licensed Master of Social Worker, LMSW in the state of Arkansas.
- Texas: Current licensure or currently pursuing license in the state of Texas.
- One to two years' experience in a center for victims of family violence or similar setting.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must.
- Knowledgeable about development issues and cultural sensitivities.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed.
- Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.
- Basic computer skills.
