About The Position

YWCA NENY is hiring Assistant Teachers and Lead Teachers for its Infant and Toddler classrooms at the Early Learning Center. Teachers help create a warm, engaging, safe, and inclusive environment where children can learn, play, and reach important milestones. The role may involve leading or supporting classroom routines, planning, and daily activities according to the position’s responsibilities. Compensation is $17–$22 per hour, based on role, education, and experience. Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Assistant Teachers must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Lead Teachers should have a CDA, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Lead Teachers should have previous experience leading or working in an early childhood classroom setting.
• A passion for early childhood education and helping children grow.
• Ability to engage in active play and lift up to 25 pounds when needed.
• Completion of all role-required checks.

Nice To Haves

• Childcare experience for Assistant Teachers.
• A CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework for Assistant Teachers.
